"The Spike"

"The Spike"

Nikki designed this iconic black epaulette he called "The Spike." The piece was created with the help of costume designer Fleur Thiemeyer-Tramp and worn throughout the Shout At The Devil era. Thiemeyer-Tramp remembers, "The band wanted to look like nothing that had come before, and so everything, straps, buckles, bindings, and chains had to be made from scratch. Some of the lightweight chains I needed I found at a West Hollywood store called the Pleasure Chest, which sold all sorts of clothing and apparatus that could be used for binding and other purposes."
